About FreshStitches

The idea for FreshStitches began in 2008 when crochet designer, Stacey Trock, noticed a distinct lack of patterns for big and cuddly stuffed animals. Whoa! It’s a giant squid… in giant stuffed animal form! If you’ve always wanted a squid in your house, but didn’t have a big enough tank… now’s your chance! Sandford measures 22 inches long (tenticles included, 13 inch long body).

Materials Required

Ella Rae Classic is the yarn used in the sample: Rust (220 yds), white (20 yds) and black (5 yds). This pattern can be used with any weight yarn, but plan on using more yardage for bulkier yarns.
