Single Crochet Increase

If you want to create a crochet fabric with some shape, sooner or later, you’re going to have to increase! Don’t worry, increasing is actually pretty easy! To increase, you just single crochet twice in the same stitch.

There are a number of ways you might see a single crochet increase written in patterns:

  • sc-inc
  • sc twice in next stitch
  • 2sc in next stitch
