The idea for FreshStitches began in 2008 when crochet designer, Stacey Trock, noticed a distinct lack of patterns for big and cuddly stuffed animals. Meet Ro the Tiny Monster

Who wouldn’t fall in love with this adorable little monster? He’s small enough to fit in the palm of your hand, and he’s quick and easy to crochet! Ro measures 3″ tall when crocheted with a worsted weight yarn.

I’ve also crocheted him in a fingering weight yarn (check the gallery), and he’ll fit at the tip of your finger! So cute!

Materials Required

Stonehedge Fiber Mill’s Shepherd’s Wool (100% wool) is the yarn used in sample in colors: Purple (40 yards) and White (5 yards). This pattern can be used with any weight yarn, but plan on using more yardage for bulkier yarns.
