Wanna hear a sad podcast story?

I’ll bet you do!

You see… I was completely prepared to spend my 4th of July recording a fabulous podcast about TNNA, my moving adventures and my beautiful hairpin lace project:

Isn’t it pretty?

Alas… it seems that I was not destined to publish a podcast on Independence Day.

First, I discovered yesterday that my studio has no working electrical outlets. No big deal… I can record in another room.

Next, our internet went out. No problem… I could record the podcast and go to my local coffee shop to upload it.

Then, the saddest news of all… I recorded a 50 minute podcast, only to discover (when I went to listen to the recording) that the microphone had stopped working 14 minutes in! So tragic! I tried recording with my backup microphone, but the sound quality was terrible…

So, no podcast today. But I’ll be getting a new microphone and making it up to you next week with our regularly scheduled programming!

I am sure the wait will be worth it … but for the rest of the day, you should enjoy the day

… and keep away from any and all electrical appliances!

Oh my, that is a sad story. I guess you just weren’t meant to record a podcast today. I think you were meant to just relax. And yes, your hairpin lace is lovely. I hope you’re enjoying Ithaca. It’s a lovely area, and I miss it.

I’m sure it would have been fabulous! I saw a picture of you at TNNA on another blog…sorry don’t remember which one…as it was several days ago

That is so sad and it had to be frustrating too! I’m glad your move was successful though and hope you are finding time to enjoy yourself in your new home/town. I also love the colors you chose for your hairpin lace project…so cool & pretty. :-D ~DeeAnna

Ahhh! Isn’t moving fun!! Just when you think – Hooray! All Done – there’s another little surprise. We’ll still be here next week & so will the podcast.

Welcome to New York (from Long Island). If you can’t do your podcast today, you can take a little ride. Did you know you have about 10 state parks within an hour of you & and about 3+ hours to Niagara Falls? Have a fun day!

Oh how frustrating!!! I would have been at my wits end by the end of all that! Thank you for trying so hard to get a podcast up for us! Your hairpin lace in beautiful, I’m excited to hear about it… but oh no… I don’t need another project I’m dying to start! I’m so glad your move was successful and I hope it was smooth and fairly easy. And I hope you’re able to get all the electrical problems fixed in the house, especially the studio. I imagine working plugs in your studio would be helpful! :) Hope you had a good rest of your 4th, and didn’t spend it all working!

The shop is on vacation for the summer! Come back in September for a full restock!
