About FreshStitches

The idea for FreshStitches began in 2008 when crochet designer, Stacey Trock, noticed a distinct lack of patterns for big and cuddly stuffed animals. A handful of adorable designs later- FreshStitches was born! Since then, FreshStitches patterns have become legendary for their cuteness, detailed instructions and step-by-step photos. Tales from TNNA!

TNNA is pretty much like Christmas for designers: it’s a time where you get to hang out with all of your designer buddies (aka family) and play with cool new toys (like new yarn, books and hooks), and eat oodles of yummy food. Geez… sounds even better than Christmas!

I could go on for hours about the awesome-ness that transpired… but I’ll stick with showing you a few select photos that capture some of the fun!

Dressing up

Everyone puts on their best knitted/crocheted finery… so I donned a couple outfits:

Hanging out with awesome people

As a designer, I work from home and I only get the chance to interact with my designer friends in person once a year (the rest of the time, it’s all online!). So it’s fabulous to get the chance to sit down and have real conversations… and of course, sneak a picture with a few idols!

Drew Emborsky, the Crochet Dude!

Look! It’s Spilly Jane!

It’s Vickie Howell! Check out that yarn for her Purple Stitch Project… such a fab cause! Check back, because there will be a giveaway!

Yummy Food!

Columbus, OH is famous for Jeni’s Ice Cream (I had Salted Caramel and Goat Cheese & Cherries… wheatgrass is on my list for next year!), but that’s not all! I ate oodles of yummy food:

Checking out what’s new!

One of the great things about TNNA is that you can check out the latest and greatest items… in person!

Rebecca Danger’s newest dinosaurs! Just as cute in person as online!

Display for MochiMochiLand’s new book: Super-Scary Mochimochi! Adorable!

Having fun!

I had such a great time… and I stocked up on new ideas, giveaways and exciting stuff for the blog! Yay! So stay tuned…

Jeni’s is the best! Salty Caramel is my absolute favorite. Glad you got to have some! If you ever come back to Columbus check out Mac’s cafe. It’s a Scottish pub right across High street from Jeni’s and the food is awesome!

  3. Looks like you had a great time!
