The idea for FreshStitches began in 2008 when crochet designer, Stacey Trock, noticed a distinct lack of patterns for big and cuddly stuffed animals. A handful of adorable designs later- FreshStitches was born! Since then, FreshStitches patterns have become legendary for their cuteness, detailed instructions and step-by-step photos. Starting a mini-monster garland!

Last week, I got an email from my friend Stephanie (of Space Cadet Creations), and the bottom said, “P.S. I think it’d be really cute if you made a garland for Christmas with little monsters.”

You know what… she’s right! That would be adorable! And I know just the guy: Ro the Tiny Monster!

I began with assembling some fingering-weight yarn that I have leftover from other projects:

I started with one of my faves, a lime green from Candy Skein that’s leftover from my Color Affection Shawl:

I know it’s early… but isn’t he adorable?

I’m not sure how many I’ll make, but I have lots of leftovers to use up! And, if I run out of leftovers, I can always join the mini-skein club for more beautiful small yardages of yarn!

That’s what I’ve been up to this week… how about you? I hope you have an awesome Wednesday, and get some great knitting/crocheting done this week!

How cute! This week’s project (other then my afghan) is to take pictures to post. I need a picture for my profile & a couple of recent projects. So far, I actually got out the camera and checked the batteries, YAH! they’re still good.

Gonna be cute! Ps. You could also attach mini ro monsters to keychains for a fully cute and original look.
