The idea for FreshStitches began in 2008 when crochet designer, Stacey Trock, noticed a distinct lack of patterns for big and cuddly stuffed animals. Meet Nasser the Baby Emperor Penguin

Nasser is one of those adorable little newborn penguins… grey and fluffy! He’s quick to make, and really cute!

He measures 4″ tall when crocheted with a worsted weight yarn.

Materials Required

Ella Rae Classic is the yarn used in the sample: Grey (30 yds), black (20 yds) and white (10 yds). This pattern can be used with any weight yarn, but plan on using more yardage for bulkier yarns.
