About FreshStitches

The idea for FreshStitches began in 2008 when crochet designer, Stacey Trock, noticed a distinct lack of patterns for big and cuddly stuffed animals. Meet Ridley the Peacock

This spunky peacock loves showing off his brightly colored tail feathers. We used a brightly colored variegated yarn for the sample, but you can have fun with all sorts of color combinations! As long as he’s brightly colored… he’ll stand out in a crowd!

Ridley measures 8.5″ tall when crocheted with a worsted weight yarn.

Materials Required

Mochi Plus (95 yards/skein) used in sample, 2 skeins blue and 1 skein brown and green required. This pattern can be used with any weight yarn, but plan on using more yardage for bulkier yarns.
