I finished crocheting… another owl!

I really hope you don’t tire of seeing crocheted owls… because I finished another one this week!

This little guy was my last custom order for the holiday season… I’m now booking owls for a February 1st ship date!

A peek at some other stuff…

As you know, I’ve been dedicating most of my crochet time to the book… so I don’t have too much to show you on the crochet front. But, I’ve been up to a few other things this week.

I made a little bit of progress on the ‘holiday gift’ front. I have a friend who has a Bernese Mountain dog, named Bica:

I thought it would be fun to give her a magnet with Bica on it… so I drew up a cartoon:

And I’m having a magnet printed with the design on it. I thought that would be a fun little gift… she can put the magnet on her car or fridge. What do you think?

I also made a little bit of pasta:

It’s not at all holiday-related. I just felt like it. Is there anything yummier than fresh pasta? Okay, maybe some things… but the pasta was pretty good!

Thanks for stopping by and reading!

If you want to see more great finished items… make sure to visit Tami’s Amis blog, the organizer of this great FO Friday theme!

I hope you have an awesome and craft-filled weekend! I’m going to a Christmas tree-lighting ceremony tonight in a nearby town… the first weekend where I feel like the holidays are really kicking into gear! So much fun!

Kit Club signups end today!

Don’t forget that today is the last day to sign up for the FreshStitches Kit Club!

I won’t be able to accept new sign-ups for the next 6 month period… because I have to get busy planning & buying goodies, and I need to know the exact number of subscribers! The next subscription period will open in April.

So, if you want to get in on these exclusive FreshStitches kits (with fun stuff inside!), then hurry up and sign up! Click here for details.

I love the owl. In fact I love the owl so much that I am actually contemplating learning how to crochet specifically in order to make your owl. In the short term, one of my friends is making an owl for me! (I bought the pattern for her.) In the longer term, though, I think I’ll do your Craftsy Woodland Animals class because you said it was geared for beginners.

      @Justine- That’s such a compliment! Thank you :)
Yes, the woodland class is great for beginners, and is a great way to learn to crochet!

    Hi Stacey,

It’s impossible to get tired of your owls!

The magnet is so cute, I’m sure your friend will love it.

I also make pasta sometimes. It’s really easy and the results are much better than what you can get at the supermarket. :)

Awww thats gonna be a great magnet! I hope you guys have a good holiday. I wanted to mail you a gift for all you do for us, but then I remembered you likely won’t be home lol XD. Stay safe and warm.

  4. I’ve never made pasta, despite how easy it looks. I doubt I ever will now because the OH does all the cooking, because if I cooked, I would do nothing else except recover from the cooking. Fresh pasta is a real luxury though that I always enjoy when I get the opportunity to have it.

What a great gift idea! And the pasta looks awesome! :)

The shop is on vacation for the summer! Come back in September for a full restock!
