Hey guys! I’m just about to leave for the Pittsburgh Knit and Crochet Festival! (literally… in 10 minutes, I just had to sneak in a blog post, first!)
It’s going to be an awesome weekend: there are awesome classes (I’m teaching three), vendors and special events. The organizer has put a huge emphasis on crochet this year, so it’s going to rock! It’s also my first time vending a booth (selling kits and books), so I’m excited and an eensy nervous…
I’m really excited… and I hope I’m going to see some of you in person!
If you have any great Pittsburgh suggestions… please let me know in the comments. I might squeak in a few hours in the evening to wander around (restaurants, especially!)

The “quintessential” Pittsburgh restaurant is Primanti Brothers.
The Sharp Edge is another one.
Both have several locations, depending on where you are staying.
Probably the closest of both are out near “Robinson”.
From the festival take 79 South to exit 60A (Rt 60 South to Crafton).
As you go down the hill on Rt 60, you’ll first come to Primanti’s (on the right).
Keep going on 60 and you’ll cross a bridge into Crafton. Smack dab at the far end of the Bridge is the Sharp Edge.
You probably don’t want to do both on the same night. :-)
For me I have to hit Eat ‘n Park for some pie or smiley cookies. I love love love their pie and have never had a bad slice yet.
