Are you joining in on our Halloween Crochet-a-long? Have you been brainstorming about fun, Halloween-y color combinations?
What are Halloween colors?
The traditional Halloween colors are black, orange, green and purple. Black is dark and mysterious (and the color of bats!), orange is the color of the leaves and pumpkins, green is the color of witches and monsters and purple (I’m told) snuck in because of it’s association with ‘mysticism’. (Although… I think it’s just because it looks good with green, but anyway…)
Even if you stick to the traditional Halloween colors, you’ve got oodles of options when it comes to crocheting your Halloween-themed critter!
That was just me, trying out those colors on only two patterns (Igor the Tiny Bat and Howie the Penguin)! I didn’t even get started on the other pattern ideas… or ooh! An owl! Who wouldn’t love a Halloween owl?!?
