About FreshStitches

The idea for FreshStitches began in 2008 when crochet designer, Stacey Trock, noticed a distinct lack of patterns for big and cuddly stuffed animals. A handful of adorable designs later- FreshStitches was born! Since then, FreshStitches patterns have become legendary for their cuteness, detailed instructions and step-by-step photos. FO Friday: Shawls everywhere!

Well… not everywhere, but two in one week is big!

I finished up Pagona by Stephen West:

I’m not sure the picture does it justice, but it’s a fabulous crescent-shaped shawl with panels in Stockinette and Reverse Stockinette. It was a pleasure to knit (once you got all the tricky markers placed at the start) and wears really well. I think I’ll make another in a solid color…

I also finished Different Lines! Squee!

I have to admit, I haven’t really found the best way to wear it. Wrapping it around my neck obscures a lot of the beautiful lines:

Ideas? Maybe just a wrap-once-and-close-with-pin is the best option.

Thanks for stopping by and reading! If you want to see more great finished items… make sure to visit Tami’s Amis blog, the organizer of this great FO Friday theme!

I hope you have an awesome and craft-filled weekend!

Go to Ravelry and see how they are shown being worn? I have wondered how those shapes wear, so haven’t taken the plunge yet. Lovely all.

Different lines looks wonderful on you! I’m usually a fan of the bandit style shawl wearing, not sure if that would work for this one though, since it’s an asymmetrical design!

  6. Different Lines is so beautiful all spread out like that! Maybe you could just walk about with yours arms outstretched all the time? Kidding! It’s gorgeous though!
