Happy Wednesday!
This past week has been so inspiring… I started my FreshStitches Ravelry Group, and there’s nothing like having oodles of folks who are interested in amigurumi to get you going!
So, this week, I’ve been crocheting a cow… I got all of his pieces crocheted:
And I’m through with most of the assembly:
I’ve ordered some fabulous hand-painted eyes from Suncatcher Eyes (18mm bronze shimmer!), and I’m just waiting for them to come in so I can finish up my cow!
What are this cow’s plans?
I designed Jackie the Cow in the early days of FreshStitches. He’s been a steady favorite… but the photos are well… let’s just say ‘reflective of my early days of photography’.
So, I’m re-crocheting the cow so I can take bright, new photos of this bovine darling!
and… (super-secret advance information) there’s going to be a cow crochet-a-long! Yay! And you can’t have a crochet-a-long without a stunning model, can you?
That’s what I’ve been up to this week… how about you? Anything exciting? I hope you have an awesome Wednesday, and get some great knitting/crocheting done this week!
If you want to check out more Work-In-Progress posts, please check out Tami’s Ami’s Blog, who’s been organizing a great WIP Wednesday blog theme! And, don’t forget to come back for FO (Finished Object) Friday!

OMG!! I love that cow. That’s just the cutest thing.
That cow is already looking just adorable! That is so much fun to be returning to a earlier design.
Love the cow! You’re taking the knit world by storm these days! I’ve seen folks working on your designs on a ton of blogs lately — so fun!
Aww… thank you, Paula!
Lovely cow!
Aww so cute.
I want to make one for myself, but everytime I look at some of your designs my daughter is lurking over my shoulder and I never get to keep those I make.
I have to start thinking about making them in pairs haha.
I just love a good cow! And she looks like a beauty. A cow crochet-along you say? Sound like it’s right up my alley (or maybe out in my field? – sorry that was a poor attempt at cow humor!). I’ll keep my eye on the Rav group for more info. Mooo!
